As the lights go down on the current stage of my academic career, my college bucket list (which I think I’m too self-possessed to need but actually have) is getting shorter: this week, I get to perform in my first play since getting to college. Scripts and rehearsals and line notes and stage directions have frantically filled the last three weeks. Far from makeshift make-believe, it’s been a precise and planned out game of pretend played with old friends and new compatriots. Here’s to a pair of broken legs—as long as they heal before I have to walk at commencement.
Fuhgeddabouddit. I am sharing this.
